"DREAMS ARE AS REAL AS WE NEED THEM TO BE."
Ever since I've made it a priority to strengthen my intuition, my dreams have been not only vivid, but meaningful. The great thing is that I'm able to remember most of them, especially the ones that come with a great message. This was the case last night as I slept soundly on a cool brisk Southern California night. Little did I know that tonight's vision would be a reinforcement from the heavens of not only the work I've been doing on myself, but all of the times I decided to take the high road. Here's how the story goes:
I'm standing on a desert road, looked like in the middle of Texas or Arizona, and my hands are straight up in the air. It looks as if I am surrendering to someone or something. Amazingly enough, as I turn my perspective away from me, I see all of the people that have betrayed me in some way over the course of my life. I can't believe my eyes as to what I am seeing. I don't even know the names of half these people but I recognize all of their faces from all walks of life. Then a gentleman, who I despised for a long time before I learned how to truly forgive and let go, raises a gun right to my face. I'm thinking, "WOW! This is it, betrayed again..." I can see him pulling the trigger when suddenly everything slows down...As it slows down, I rush to move his arm away from my face and the gun goes off. A huge blast and the force of something grazing past my ear. After swatting the arm of this guy, I look up only to see black with no sign of the people or desert that were there before. Then the song "IM STILL STANDING" by Elton John starts to play in the background. Not the entire song, but these lyrics specifically:
Don't you know i'm still standing better than i ever did
Looking like a true survivor, feeling like a little kid
I'm still standing after all this time
Picking up the pieces of my life without you on my mind
(If you hadn't heard it before, here it is)
The music stops and I'm wondering to myself what is this is all about? And my voice or higher self tells me, "YOU'VE FACE YOUR GREATEST FEAR AND YOU'RE STILL STANDING READY TO TAKE ON ANYTHING IN LIFE WITH JOY IN YOUR HEART AND TRUST IN YOUR SOUL. EVEN WHEN IT LOOKED LIKE A DESPERATE SITUATION FOR YOU, YOU TOOK WHAT THE UNIVERSE GAVE YOU (SLOW MOTION OF GUN GOING OFF) AND USED IT TO YOUR BENEFIT....YOU HAVE ALL THAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED IN LIFE...FEAR ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!
In a lot of cases the things we fear most are merely just illusions, especially when we face them head on. What fears might you be facing today that if you took them head on, would dissipate into the illusion it has always been?
