4 KEYS TO YOUR BEST BODY IN 2016

There is no greater time than now to make sure you are not only living your best life, but you also have your best body. Now, transformation doesnt take place overnight, but with application of these keys in your life you will be on your way!

 

1. WHEN YOU WORKOUT, GO ALL OUT!

    -Working out is something that should not be "cute" It should challenge you everytime. It's like I tell my clients all the time: If it does'nt make you want to quit at some point, you need to work harder. Unless you're a bodybuilder or fitness competitor 3 to 4 days is enough. Anymore than that you're in danger of flooding your body with cortisol (stress hormone) and it's indication you have to work harder when you are at the gym.

2. PUT DOWN THE ALCOHOL

    -Everyday I train people who will sadly NEVER see the results they want because they kid themselves into thinking they can have a glass of wine a night or binge on the weekend. Hopefully you don't fall into this category, but if you do here are some facts for you: One glass of wine is equal to five, yes FIVE candybars! Ouch, if you want to keep drinking it, get ready to buy bigger clothes. Just stay away from it, or go low calorie. Your body deserves better!

3. SLEEP, AND SLEEP WELL EVERYNIGHT

    -Rest, rest and rest some more. What good is it to work so hard on achieving your goals only to get bigger at the end. A lack of sleep is a one way ticket to obesity! If the body does'nt get a chance to rest, it will break down and the number of fat cells (not to mention cortisol) will flood your body. No matter how demanding your job is, you need your rest. Never sacrifice it because life is too short not to get an ample amount of sleep every night.

 

4. DON'T PAY ATTENTION TO THE SCALE

   -Youve done it! You've bust your butt the last couple of months but the scale says you've gained 5 pounds. It's easier to get discouraged because you're fixated on a certain number, but if you feel better, stronger and you're clothes fit correctly, you are a SUCCESS!! In this case, numbers will lie to you. You need to know, they're not the end all be all. Take pleasure in knowing you did the work and you can be proud and confident in what you've done.

 

It's safe to say, if you make it a point to follow these guidelines, great changes will be in store for you for the rest of your life.
